About Me // The Story So Far
Hi. My name is Mike. I'm a 17-year-old software engineer from Poland, formerly known online as Foksiu8158. My journey into the world of code began not in a classroom, but in the communities online. What started as a simple curiosity about how things work behind the scenes quickly evolved into a deep-seated passion for creation and problem-solving.
I love to take on challenges. Making things like never before, in a given context. The core of my motivation is a constant ambition to improve what can be improved, and to build what doesn't yet exist. I'm driven by the desire to create clean, efficient, and impactful solutions, whether it's a complex backend system, a high-performance game plugin, or a tool that makes life easier for a community. Regardless of compensation, I do what I can help, to help others with their potential struggles.
My Philosophy
Over the years, I've developed a set of core principles that guide my work:
// Code as a Craft: I believe that writing code is a craft. It’s not just about making something work; it’s about creating solutions that are elegant, scalable, and maintainable. I take pride in writing clean code that is as understandable to humans as it is efficient for machines.
// Community-Centric Development: Many of my projects, especially in the SCP:SL ecosystem, are born from the needs of the community. I believe the best software is built in a feedback loop with its users. Listening, adapting, and delivering features that genuinely help people is what makes development truly rewarding.
// The Pursuit of Knowledge: The tech landscape is always changing, and I love it. My extensive tech stack is a testament to my belief in continuous learning. I'm always exploring new languages, frameworks, and paradigms, not just to stay current, but to find the absolute best tool for the job at hand.
Beyond the IDE
My life isn't confined to a code editor. My interests in game development, video production, and language learning are all interconnected. Understanding game design helps me build better user experiences. Learning new human languages strengthens my grasp of logic and structure, much like learning a new programming language. And diving into creative software like Blender or DaVinci Resolve hones my attention to detail and my ability to approach problems from a different, more creative angle.
Ultimately, I'm a builder. I love taking an idea from a simple concept to a fully-realized product. If you have a challenge, a project, or just a cool idea, let's talk.
